HARRISBURG – Rep. Mike Puskaric (R-Allegheny/Washington) announced that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today met and approved a $50,000 grant to assist Elizabeth Borough for phase six street and Riverfront Park improvements along Water Street.
The project will include replacing 550 linear feet of existing sidewalk and curb, installing 500 linear feet of new galvanized steel handrail and three benches. The total cost of the project is approximately $162,000.
“Funding for this project is aimed at keeping people safe when they visit Riverfront Park in Elizabeth Borough,” said Puskaric. “This is a perfect example of what can happen when the state and local government officials come to together to improve our overall quality of life.”
The CFA was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth and holds fiduciary responsibility over the funding of programs and investments in Pennsylvania’s economic growth.
